Many anthropologists and psychologists acknowledge the fact that childhood environment has a great impact on the well-being of an individual as he matures. How a mother nurtures her infant is especially important: a child who has been nursed close to its mother’s bosom, experiencing her love and warmth, will gain confidence and will pass through youth with a strong feeling of well-being. In later life such a child will have an easier task in establishing a more secure, well-balanced life pattern.
